Project 52 - July 6thWhat a better way to celebrate Fourth of July then taking a step back in history. We went out to Providence Metro Park and took a ride on the canal boat. When we went through to lock (yes, an actual working lock) it was a tight fit. There wasn't a lot of room between the boat and the side of the lock. They warned everyone to keep hands, heads and other body parts inside the boat. We were told that once upon a time a little boy stuck his head out of the boat while going through the lock and this was the result......
After the boat ride we walked through the Isaac Ludwig Mill where a blacksmith was at work and the grandkids got a souvenir.
