Project 52 - May 18thIt's amazing what you find in nature. While taking a walk at one of the parks in Waterville, we stopped to sit on a log and watch the river for a while. I love watching the river, I'm not sure why but I find it soothing. Sometimes the river is calm and quiet and other times it rushes and roars. It's always different with something new to see each time. But back to the logs. As we were sitting there I looked over and saw this.
Yes, it's a smiley face. Right there, on the log, not painted or man-made. Just there in nature. And doesn't it look as if someone has carved a design into the log? But, no. My husband said this was caused by termites. Who knew termites were so artistic!
